Virginia Online Schools
The following is a list of Virginia post-secondary schools. These are great choices for those who may wish to simply take some individual online courses or combine online courses with courses taken on campus. Students who take courses from these schools should have access to on-campus resources, such as campus libraries, in the event they have need to use them. For Virginia residents enrolling in Virginia schools, in-state tuition and fees should apply. The academic counseling services and other privileges may be reserved to people who enroll in a certain number of hours-you may be enrolled online full time, or you may only be part time. These schools will all have their own particular online class rules and regulations, fees, and requirements. Take advantage of a school nearby should you decide to take classes at the campus as well either now or in the future. With a rich history, a record of producing some brilliant minds, and some of the oldest and longest-running schools in the country, Virginia offers up some great options for your education. Thankfully, you don't have to be a resident of Virginia to benefit from the wealth of education it offers. However, if you are and you can complement your education with your surroundings, you have a slight advantage above the rest.

Other schools, such as ITT Technical Institutes and the University of Phoenix, are not based in Virginia but are open to students across the country. ITT Tech, for example, does have over 100 campuses nationwide, but services students all over with online courses. These types of schools have programs designed for students who cannot commit to classroom time that other students may. Some of these programs are designed to be completed at the particular school, and some may have transferable credits. The Art Institute and many other vocational, arts, culinary arts, and technical schools offer online programs and boast a number of campuses in a variety of larger cities across the country. These are great schools for people who anticipate a move in the near future, as they have a better chance of finding a campus at which to take classes that complement their online studies. They share the same curriculum.
